The 4th Annual Run for the Children 5-K and one mile Fun Run on Saturday, March 17, 2007 in historical downtown Canton.  It was a  cold, brisk morning but participants experienced great weather for the race.  The turnout was phenomenal - we are so grateful to the support shown for the League.  We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every runner, policeman, business and anyone else who helped make this day the success it was.  Click the link below to see the results from the 5K Run.

We would like to thank our 2007 Spirit Award Winner, Etowah High School Football Team! They were awarded the Spirit Award and presented the League with an Etowah High School football. Because of the dedication of this fine organization, our run was the most successful yet! Thank you to Etowah High School for supporting the Service League of Cherokee County and the children of Cherokee County. The spirit award is awarded to the organization with the most participation.

The Service League of Cherokee County was formed more then 70 years ago as a non-profit organization made up of 75 women representing all of Cherokee County.  It is the oldest service organization in the community.  All monies raised by the Service League through the run and other fund raisers are directed to the underprivileged children of Cherokee County.
